This translation used only the Textus Receptus as the basis for the New Testament (the same used by the Church over the centuries and by the reformers) and the Hebrew Masoretic Text for the Old Testament (the same used by the Jewish people to this day). This text seeks to maintain fidelity in meaning and equivalence of forms, making it the most faithful biblical text to the originals among those we have in Portuguese.
