With the NodeMapp Hike app, the only real app for hiking nodes, you can explore the hiking network in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), the Netherlands, France, and Germany, amounting to more than 60,000 kilometers of hiking pleasure. HIKING ROUTE PLANNER You can view the hiking nodes on a map and plan a customized hiking route node by node. You can also use the Surprise Me feature to choose a starting point and have a route with the desired distance calculated for you quickly. SAVE HIKING ROUTES You can save up to 10 hiking routes for free to reuse later. If you want to save an unlimited number of routes, consider subscribing to Premium (see below). IMPORT HIKING ROUTES You can plan hiking routes on your computer using our handy online route planner. You can generate a QR code for each route, which you can scan with the app, and the route will be sent to your smartphone. SUGGESTED ROUTES You can also find many suggested routes in the app. These are hiking routes that we have put together ourselves or that are offered by official tourism organizations with which we collaborate. As a Premium user, you will have access to many additional features (+): SAVE UNLIMITED ROUTES (+) Save an unlimited number of hiking routes in your account. NAVIGATION (+) With our handy navigation mode, you can follow every hiking route using the GPS function of your smartphone. The app will guide you along the route and alert you if you deviate from it. If you follow a route along hiking nodes, a voice will also inform you of the next node. The navigation mode is compatible with the associated Watch app. Other smartwatches also provide instructions at nodes if they can receive notifications. EXPORT ROUTES AS GPX (+) Export all hiking routes in the app to a GPX file. PLAN ROUTES ANYWHERE (+) Plan hiking routes that deviate from the hiking network and in areas where there are (still) no hiking nodes. This gives you even more flexibility when planning your ideal hiking route. OFFLINE MAPS (+) You can download each hiking route at home beforehand. Afterward, you can follow the route entirely offline. ELEVATION PROFILES (+) You can request an elevation profile for each hiking route so that you can assess the intensity of your hiking route in advance. REGISTER YOUR WALKS (+) For every route between two hiking nodes, you can indicate whether you have already walked it. This is visually displayed on the map so you always have an overview of where you have already walked. In navigation mode, the app automatically registers which routes of the hiking network you walk. This way, you can always plan the most beautiful routes along paths you have never been before. PLEASE NOTE: you can subscribe to the app for 1 year for the price of 14.99 euros. Subscription payment is handled through your Apple ID. Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless you cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the expiration date. You can manage your subscription yourself, and you can also stop the automatic renewal by going to your Apple ID Settings after purchase.
