Learn English through fun, animated song and story videos. Safe, ad-free games and activities help your child develop in these key areas in English: reading, listening, speaking and grammar. Recommended ages: 6–11 OVER 100 QUALITY VIDEOS Our animated songs and stories are created by the British Council’s language learning experts and grouped into themes like fairy tales, classic children’s songs and grammar chants. Each video comes with subtitles that can be turned on or off to help children read and listen. Download all the videos to watch them whenever you want, even offline! Videos include: Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, Old MacDonald, The Wheels on the Bus, Incy Wincy Spider and the Tales of Shakespeare. A LISTEN-AND-RECORD ACTIVITY ENCOURAGES SPEAKING Each animated video comes with an engaging listen-and-record activity that encourages your child to say and repeat the words from the video, building confidence in speaking over time. Children can listen to the narrator, record themselves and compare their pronunciation with the narrator’s. GAMES TO IMPROVE SPELLING, UNDERSTANDING AND GRAMMAR Each pack of animated videos comes with challenging word, grammar and spelling games to help children learn and understand the language they see in the videos. FOLLOW YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS In each pack you can see how your child is progressing in five areas: Videos, Speaking, Spelling, Understanding and Grammar. AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES The app is available in English, French, Simplified Chinese and Spanish. Go to the Parents’ area to change the language. SAFETY AND DATA PRIVACY Your child’s privacy is very important to us. The app provides a completely safe and ad-free learning environment. We do track how the app is used, such as which games/videos are most popular, but we only use this information to make the app better for your child. We do not collect any information about your child or your family. MANAGE YOUR CONTENT TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE APP LearnEnglish Kids: Playtime has a simple way of managing content. Simply delete any unwanted packs. All videos, games and progress will be deleted, but unlocked bonus items will remain in the Monster Village. Price of subscription will vary depending on plan selected and region. Payment is charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.
