The Auto Loan tab includes the basic values for calculating an auto loan and also include a trade pay off field for entering any payoff that may exist on a trade in. There is also an option button that can be set to include or not include the trade in amount when calculating taxes as this varies by location. The auto loan tab can also be used to calculate a payment for most any type of loan. Home mortgages can be calculated for conventional, FHA and VA loan types. Besides the standard data, each loan type has fields for insurance, taxes and HOAs. The FHA loan type includes the calculation for FHA monthly insurance and the VA loan type includes the calculation for the VA funding fee and allows the selection of a first or subsequent loan. This allows for a complete estimate of the payment on the home. Any fields that occur on other screens will have their values copied from screen to screen. This makes it easy to compare the different types of loans and their estimated payments. No data is saved when PitiCalc is closed and all data stays on the device.
