Tute is one of the most popular card games in Spain, also played in Latin America. It is played from 2 to 5 players individually. Four people can also play in teams of two. The goal of the game is to be the first to reach a set amount of points. The Spanish deck of forty cards is used. The order of the cards, from highest to lowest, is: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), 7, 6, 5, 4 and 2 (white cards, they have no value). The first card played determines the starting suit, each player must follow the same suit. If a player has no cards of the leading suit, the player may play any card (including any trump cards).
