FUTURE BOTANICA is an augmented reality app that enables users to design speculative digital (virtual) ecosystems in an existing physical location. It works with generative AI in a natural context, to let you speculate. It explores what nature is in a time when the traditional image of nature constantly clashes with the rapid evolution in knowledge, technology, and perspectives. FUTURE BOTANICA aims to challenge the audience to speculate on ecological transitions by allowing them to explore ideas, expectations, fears, and desires regarding future nature. The Future Botanica AR app is used on the side, only in combination with real nature of all sorts: in combination with Future Botanica live events.
