"Hokm" - One of the Most Beloved Card Games!  "Hokm" is one of the most beloved traditional Iranian card games, played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The game can be played with four players, forming two teams of two players each. Terms Used in "Hokm" Game:  Cutting in the game of Hokm means that a player does not have a card of the suit that is being played and instead plays a card of the trump suit. This causes the player to win the trick, unless another player has also cut and has a higher card of the trump suit. Cutting is an important technique in the game of Hokm that can help change the outcome of the game. The “Hakem” player must determine the “Hokm” in the first hand and choose one of the suits as the “Hokm” suit. In the following hands, players must play their cards according to the “Hokm” suit. The points earned in each hand are determined based on the points of the cards played by players. At the end of each hand, the points of the teams are compared, and the team with the highest score wins the hand.  If in a game round, one of the teams fails to earn any points, it is referred to as "Kot". If the team that fails to score is the Hakem team, three losses are considered, and if the failing team is not the Hakem team, it counts as two losses. If a player doesn't play their cards based on the background card, the team is considered "Kot". The state where the Hakem team is "Kot" is described with terms like "Hakem Koot" or "Three consecutive losses" or "Full Kot". There is no need for an announcement for declaring "Kot".
