What’s new Payment approval via app without logging onto the online banking Increasing mobile cheque deposit limits to £5K per cheque with a daily limit of £5K per account Yearly renewal of cookie policy About this app The Santander Connect app provides a simple and secure way to log on and authorise payments when using Santander Connect online banking. You can also use this app to: • Authenticate yourself when logging on to the Santander Connect online banking service. • Securely authorise transactions you are making in Santander Connect using your phone’s biometric authentication such as Touch ID, Face ID or a unique PIN. • View up-to-date balances and transactional details for accounts you have been given access to by your administrator. • Deposit cheques of up to £500 to a current account using the app. Daily limits apply. • View and manage secure open banking connections with other third-party apps and banks. Tap on ‘Open Banking Connections’ from the Settings menu. If you use or are considering using any third-party provider solutions using Santander’s open banking services, you can use the Santander Connect UK mobile app to authorise these transactions. This includes services that require you to give permission for your banking information to be accessed or payments to be made on your behalf. Please note this app is for Santander Connect online banking customers only. The terms and conditions which apply to your Santander Connect online banking apply also to your use of this app. If you are a Santander Personal or Business customer, you can find out more about the different ways to manage your accounts on our website or by speaking to us. Before you start You’ll need to be registered for Santander Connect online banking with an up-to-date mobile phone number registered so that we can send you a One Time Passcode (OTP). Once that’s done, it takes a few minutes to get started with Santander Connect: • Open the app and enter your Santander Connect log on details. • We’ll send you an OTP by text message. • Enter the code into the app to register your device. • Create a 5-digit PIN to protect your app. • We’ll ask you if you want to set up Touch ID or Face ID to log on and authorise payments instead of using a PIN. And that’s it, you’re in. Remember • Never share an OTP with another person. Not even a Santander employee. • Never download software or let anyone log on to your computer or devices remotely following or during a cold call. • Never enter your Online Banking details after clicking on a link in an email or text message. (English language only) For security our app won’t work if your mobile device has had the manufacturers operating systems modified or removed in any way e.g. your device has been Jail broken or rooted. Please make sure you have the latest iOS software on your phone so that our app runs smoothly. Your device will need to be running iOS version 14.0 or higher to use this app. If you are unable to update to this version, please contact us so we can issue you with an alternative authentication.
