Mnogi poslodavci evidenciju radnog vremena vode ručno, često i samo papirnato, pri čemu se na kraju obračunskog razdoblja događaju greške kod zbrajanja, prijenosa podataka za obračun plaće itd. Pored toga veliki problem predstavlja i pregled podataka u prošlosti, tako da često dolazi i do mukotrpnog traženja podataka, kada je tko i koliko bio na godišnjem odmoru, koliko dana je netko bio na bolovanju, koliko je sati radio noću, itd. Često dolazi i do neželjenih situacija između poslodavca i zaposlenika, zato što sati rada nisu dobro evidentirani.
