In doing so, Alleye detects a deterioration in your visual performance before you can see it yourself. Alleye will inform you as soon as there is a deterioration in your results and you should occasionally see an ophthalmologist for further measurements. Disclaimer Alleye is intended for the detection and characterization of central and paracentral metamorphopsia (visual distortion) in patients with retinal disease, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases that may cause metamorphopsia during progression. Alleye is not intended for diagnostic purposes. The responsibility for making diagnoses rests with the ophthalmologist.
