You can select the word in alphabetical order (English meanings) by clicking “words” in the menu bar. Basic everyday Hakka words! Click on the "alphabet" button in the menu bar, you can get the sound elements of the Hakka language. There are no retroflex consonants in the Hakka language, like sh,tch. The southern Chinese dialects (Cantonese, Hokkien, Wu and Hakka) they all don’t have these consonants. Over 45 million people speak Hakka Chinese natively throughout southern China, Taiwan and overseas. It is primarily spoken at home or between close friends. They speak the Common Chinese (Mandarin) when at school or doing business. This app gives you a taste of Hakka!
