Description

OcularCheck is a powerful mobile tool to improve the accessibility of healthcare by empowering individuals and communities to be able to accurately check their vision for free, for signs of myopia and other visual impairments. The app has been developed for use in underserved/rural areas of the world, including features such as: diagnostic accuracy, no internet requirement, auditory guides, high device compatibility, and multilingual optotypes, and more. This aspect allows it to play a unique role in the international public health community. Important features include (v1.0.0): - Visual acuity exam with immediate results - Selection between multiple optotypes such as Snellen, LEA Symbols, and other languages - Find nearby optometry clinics - Information pages about visual impairments What's new in v1.1.0: - Support for Tumbling E optotypes for non-English speakers - Improved UI for in-app instructions - Bug fixes What's new in v1.2.0: - Improved instruction manual - Bug fixes What's new in v1.3.0: - Results can be shown in either LogMAR or Snellen. - The device will now lock the screen brightness to full when taking the exam. - Added options "Start on row" and "# of attempts", allowing you to have more control over the eye exam. - Added images to visualize which eye to cover during the test. - Added ETDRS chart. - Edited LEA Symbols and Tumbling E charts.
