Description

VozejkMap is a unified and easy-to-use database of barrier-free places in the Czech Republic. The places in the database are entered and verified by the users themselves and regional institutions and portals are also involved in the project. A barrier-free place is defined as a building that is without steps or with other equipment (lift, ramp, stair platform, hoist) and has a barrier-free toilet (ticked by default). All places are categorised according to their nature and purpose. The advantage of the mobile application is the quick addition and search of objects in the place where you are (GPS determines the location itself). After entering a specific facility, it is possible to use the navigation system and other functions of mobile devices. The project was created with the support of the Vodafone Foundation and is operated by the Czech Paraplegic Association (CZEPA). The administrator is a wheelchair user (quadriplegic).
