Explore COLREGS light patterns Browse a full set of navigation light configurations for power-driven vessels, vessels at anchor and aground, NUC, RAM, mine-clearance, dredgers, tugs and tows, fishing vessels, pilot vessels, air-cushion craft and WIG craft. View each pattern on a dark-hull 3D ship at night and drag to rotate around it to see the lights from dead ahead, bow, beam, quarter and astern. See a clear, plain-language COLREG rule overview for every pattern, linked to Rules 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Check exactly which physical lights are fitted with a breakdown of masthead, sidelights, sternlight, towing light and all-round signal lights. Smart reference and search Group patterns by COLREG rule, by vessel size (over 50 m / under 50 m), or browse a simple A–Z list. Use the built-in search to find patterns by name, summary or rule number (for example “Rule 27”, “NUC”, “tug towing”, “fishing trawling”).
