RT20 & RT30 Standards: Calculates RT60 based on RT20 and RT30 decay slopes, compensating for the dynamic range limitations of mobile hardware. About Reverberation Time: Reverberation Time (RT60) is the time required for sound pressure to decay by 60 dB. Because achieving a full 60 dB dynamic range is challenging in many environments, RevMeter Pro utilizes the established RT20 and RT30 extrapolation methods to accurately compute the RT60 value. Measurement Methods: Impulse Method: Measures the room's response to a sudden sound, such as a hand clap or balloon burst.
